The Korean History of Angus'
Angus was fortunate enough to take a beginner's level Korean language course as an elective in his university, and this was the beginning of my path to learn Korean. In the following two years, I studied in various buxiban classes and study promotion departments in Taiwan for a year, and finally I finished all the Grade 1 AB books.
During this year, I studied on my own and with teachers to understand all the grammar, sentences and words in Level 1. But after a year, I still didn't know how to use the grammar I had learned. That's why Angus set off on a 2-year journey to learn Korean in Korea!
During the two years I spent in Korea, I combined my learning experience in Taiwan with the advantages of being a native Korean speaker and tried my best to use what I learned every day.
I also told myself that when I go back to Taiwan, I want to combine my learning experience to teach my future students. So that the students don't have to go far on their way to learn Korean! And even if you don't go abroad, you can still get the same quality and atmosphere as in a language school!
So I also took a course in Korean Method at Se Kong University during my study in Korea, because I wanted to teach Korean more systematically. I didn't want to teach students just because I know it, but because I didn't have any professional foundation.
I also found a lot of self-confidence in the process of learning Korean. When I was learning Korean, many of my friends would say, "What do you want to learn Korean for? Why don't you learn English?" "Isn't Japanese better? ...
But what I've learned in this learning process is that learning is about maintaining enthusiasm!
💪 I think that in the daily repetitive life, being willing to set aside time to study is the only way to maintain my curiosity and passion for the world.
